I've been wanting to buy a 4 track cassette recorder to experiment with for a while. Recently I saw one on ebay for a decent price - I placed a bid but lost out in the last few seconds. They can be quite expensive and I don't agree with the pricing. It feels like these have become collectors items, but anyway..... I'm not into the argument of using hardware and software, I'm just interested in what they can do. I love experimenting with sounds and came across a guitar pedal that I thought would be good to mess about with.

I've been making so much stuff with breaks and for a dancefloor, and needed to get away from that for a while. So when the pedal arrived in the post I ran through some older ambient type stuff from my 'Jump And Accept Power' project from about 10 years ago, and used the FX on my DJ mixer. I recorded it all onto a digital recorder and then messed with it a little in Ableton.

I shared one of the tracks with some friends and privately on bandcamp and social media. The feedback was nice so I did a couple more tracks. It's nothing special or groundbreaking, but I had a lot of fun playing around with sound.

The final track, 'Solace's Winter' is a mix of the first 3 tracks.

While I was playing about with the sounds, there was an image from a postcard I have that was in the forefront of my mind (I haven't got it to hand but I'll find it in the week and share an image on here and on instagram).
